Is there a need to perform "ShouGong" 收功 at the end of the 85 Form in Taijiquan?
Unlike other more aggressive styles, Traditional Yang Style Taijiquan places emphasis on sinking the Qi throughout the entire form. Therefore, there is no need for a separate "ShouGong" movement to collect and store the Qi in the Dantian. In fact, the Closing Form at the end of the 85 Form serves that purpose.

If the ShouGong was important, it would have been included in the 85 Form. In the case of Bafa, a more energetic and aggressive form, it may make sense to perform the ShouGong. However, some individuals from different styles and forms may indiscriminately apply the ShouGong to all practices. It would be beneficial for the group to standardize which forms require the ShouGong and which do not.

What are the various energy forms in Taichi and QiGong?
In the practice of Qigong or Taijiquan, there are three distinct forms of energies: Jing 精, Qi 气, and Shen 神.

Energy must first enter the body from external sources, such as the oxygen we inhale, the light and heat from the sun, vitamins and minerals from food, and nourishment from water. This type of energy is known as Jing 精 and can be stored as reserves.

Jing provides the energy needed for activities like breathing, movement, exercise, and blood flow. The second form of energy, Qi (Chee) 气 or 炁, is the result of these functions and refers to circulation within the body. Without circulation, a body is dead.

With regular and proper practice, some individuals experience a radiance of energy that emanates from their body, known as Shen 神 or Spirit energy. This can have a positive influence on those around them, promoting relaxation and happiness.

Why do we have to keep our feet parallel?

If the tip of the feet are pointing outward, as we most naturally stand, then the direction of the knees are not aligned with the toes.
